2011 A Year in Review

Another year has come an gone.  They always seem to go much faster that you plan.   We have spent the  last year in Sequim, WA.   I It has been a year of trying new things and traveling a lot to see family and friends.

John continues to be employed by Waste Connections Inc where  he is a District Controller for the Olympic Peninsula.  He recently took over the  job of Office Supervisor so he now has 7 direct reports.  It is a challenging job and keeps him traveling  several days during the month.  In  addition he is the Assistant Ward Clerk over Finance and was asked to be the Choir Director in the Fall.  He is often asked to sub for Sunday School.

Bridget is able to stay home with the kids but stays busy volunteering 1 day a week in Chase's kindergarten class.  She is still a traveling  hairstylist and her business continues to expand even though most of her clients are 2 hours away. At church she is the Relief Society Enrichment Coordinator and spends lots of time putting together activities.

Andrew is in 2nd grade.  He is a good student and loves going to school to  spend time with his friends. He  got to take swimming lessons  in February and is now in Level 2.  In the spring he got to play his first season on baseball. He really enjoyed having his dad help coach.  In the fall he played soccer and has a passion for being the goalie.  He looks forward to getting baptized  and becoming a cub scout next year.

Chase also took swimming and passed his class with ease.  He is definitely a fish in the water . In May he participated in the CF walk in Olympia with his best friend Willow, who has CF. He loved playing soccer in the fall and was the MVP of his team.  He is trilled to be in Kindergarten where he is now a role model in his class. He enjoys writing stories and drawing picture for Willow. In November he has his tonsil and adnoids out he did great and only missed 1 day of school. At the children's hospital he got to share his room with
another boy named Chase. He was able to help the other Chase feel better about having surgry.

Juliana is definitely a girlie girl.  She likes to cook ,clean, and be the boss. One of her favorite activities is making bread.  She wishes that she could ride the bus and go to school like her big brothers.  If it is pink, purple, or has princesses she thinks it belongs to her. She can't wait to see the princesses in Disney World . Oh & she cut all of her hair off (9 inches) after we got home from Great Wolf.

We  are blessed to have people renting our house in Lacey and have a nice house to live in  here in Sequim. The kids enjoy the big yard but miss friends and neighbors close by.  This year we finished reading  the Book of Mormon as a family.   We have also memorized the 13 articles of faith (Juli knows 2 or 3 of them). We look forward to several trips next year as we create more memories with our family and friends in 2012.
